# ISD 16511 - Battle of Hermonassa

Rout of the Imperial defense of the Red Star Foundries shipyards at [Hermonassa](https://www.suneater.wiki/books/sagittarius-arm/page/hermonassa) from the Cielcin assault led by [SYRIANI DORAYAICA](https://www.suneater.wiki/books/cielcin-BHz/page/syriani-dorayaica). Until Hermonassa, the Cielcin had not crossed the gulf in force for nearly four centuries, when they raided as far south as the Sagittarius. Hermonassa was the first assault that showed Dorayaica was planning to attack military targets—strategic thinking not yet shown by any of the Cielcin princes.
