First colonized in the mid-twelfth millennium, Perfugium was established as a beachhead for Imperial efforts at colonizing the outer Centaurus. Perfugium was given quickly into the hands of House Valavar, previously the Marquises of Danne, who administered the demesne until the Battle of Perfugium in ISD 17136, after which the planet was broadly abandoned due to the devastation and the Cielcin horde’s pouring into the Centaurine provinces, making it impossible to launch salvage and reconquest operations.
