The Unbreakable. One of SYRIANI’s vayadan, its servant and concubine. Converted into a half-machine chimera with the aid of MINOS.

As it spoke, a giant shape moved in the shadows to one side. Turning my head, I saw a hulking shape crawling along the aisle beyond the nearest row of pillars behind the kneeling courtiers. Six-legged it was, like one of the walking tanks deployed by our legions. Its head swung like a turret, one-eyed as Hushansa, its white carapace lit red beneath in the gloom by the light of the incense braziers.

The huge six-legged thing swiveled its turret head, and a voice deep as the pit at Dorayaica’s back said, “Iubalu and Bahudde were our sister-brothers. This creature must be punished. Its life is dunyasu, an affront! Each breath it takes it stole from your most holy slaves.”
