Jaddian Words and Phrases
Aljanhi - a human Jaddian soldier.
Alkidar - a woman, almost always of the Eali caste, who is bound to an Eali man in formal concubinage.
Al Neroblis - a title for HADRIAN MARLOWE in the Jaddian Principalities.
Aryabite - any member of the warrior middle caste of the Jaddian Principalities. It is roughly equivalent to a patrician in Imperial society, comprising genetic uplifts and their offspring, but not including pure blood Eali.
Badonna - an honorific applying to Eali women.
Davoi - Jaddian term for the Cielcin, literally translating to "Demon"
Dom/Domi - an honorific applying to Eali men.
Domagovani - the legislative and elective body composed of all 81 Jaddian princes and the ranking religious clerics, especially those of the Zoroastrianism faith.
Eali/ Eali al'aqran - the Jaddian ruling caste, a product of intense eugenic development.
Fravashi (from Avestan)- In Jaddian Zoroastrianism, the part of one's spirit that remains in the spirit world when a person's soul enters the material universe.
Hudr - Jaddian Scholiast, literally translating to "Green".
Haqiph - untouchable or base, a caste term referring to those that are homonculi or subhuman.
Mamluk (from Arabic) - a homonculus slave soldier.
Satrap (from Latin) - a planetary governor of the Principalities of Jadd, subordinate to one of the regional princes.
Skubus - shit; similar to the ancient Greek word "σκύβαλον" (skubalon)("rubbish"/"dung").
Sulshawar - a warrior who serves as a bodyguard to a prince, satrap, or other important personage. A sulshawar may also represent that person in duels. Comparable to a lictor.
