Centaurus Arm: The innermost and farthest of the four arms of the galaxy colonized by the Sollan Empire, north of Sagittarius, Orion, and Perseus. Most Centaurine provinces are clustered near the heart of the galaxy, just south of the Veil of Marinus and the galactic core.

— Andernach: A Centaurine Duchy presided over by House Hauptmann, famously the home of First Strategos Titus Hauptmann. A cold, arid world.

— Ashbless: A minor colony in the Centaurine provinces most famous as the birthplace of Sir Cassian Powers.

— Athyras: An older Imperial world, home to the predatory xanarths. [Howling Dark][Ashes of Man]

— Aulos: An Imperial colony in the Centaurine Provinces, one of the sites on Emperor William XXIII’s tour of the frontier. [Kingdoms of Death][Ashes of Man]

— Balanrot: An Imperial colony in the outer Centaurine provinces, part of Emperor William XXIII’s grand tour. [Ashes of Man]

— Bargovrin: An Imperial colony in the Centaurine provinces, site of a brutal defeat of humanity by the Cielcin in the Crusades. [Demon in White]

— Colchis: The first Imperial colony in the Centaurus Arm, named for the garden at the end of the world, a moon of the gas giant Atlas. Never an important colony (it was eclipsed quickly by its neighbors), it is nevertheless known for the massive scholiast athenaeum at Nov Belgaer. — Atlas: The gas giant in the Colchis system about which Colchis orbits. [Kingdoms of Death]

— Berenike: A former trading hub and mining colony on the Centaurine frontier on the border with the Veil of Marinus, site of a major battle in the Cielcin Wars. [Demon in White][Kingdoms of Death]

— Algernon: A Norman freehold world located very close to Marinus. [Demon in White]

— Aptucca: An Imperial colony in the Veil, site of the defeat of the Cielcin Prince Ulurani in single combat by Hadrian Marlowe—one of Lord Marlowe’s greatest victories. [Howling Dark][Demon in White][Kingdoms of Death][Ashes of Man]

— Arae: An uninhabited world in the Norman Expanse. Notably the site of the Battle of Arae in the Cielcin Wars where Hadrian Marlowe and his Red Company discovered evidence of an alliance between the Cielcin and Extrasolarian humans. — Ardistama: A Norman freehold visited by Lord Marlowe between Emesh and Vorgossos. [Howling Dark]

— Argissa: Site of an early battle in the Cielcin Wars, an Imperial colony in the Veil of Marinus. [Demon in White]

— Ashklam: A former Norman kingdom in the Veil of Marinus, conquered and annexed by Calen Harendotes, the Monarch of Latarra, during the Cielcin Wars. [Ashes of Man]

— Bellos: Imperial colony in the Norman Expanse; site of the Battle of Bellos. [Empire of Silence]

— Bannatia: An Imperial Norman colony destroyed by the Cielcin. [Howling Dark]

— Emesh: A watery world in the Veil of Marinus; seat of House Mataro. Home of the coloni Umandh and the subterranean ruins at Calagah. Originally a Norman colony. [Empire of Silence][Howling Dark][Queen Amid Ashes][Demon in White][Kingdoms of Death][Ashes of Man]

— Armand: One of the two moons of Emesh; small and white. It has a few underground settlements and is ruled by House Kvar. Named for Lord Armand Mataro, who took Emesh from the Normans. [Empire of Silence]

— Binah: One of the two moons of Emesh, ruled by House Melluan. A successful case for early terraforming—its surface is green from massive tree-growth. [Empire of Silence]

— Borosevo: A city/prefecture/castle governed by Lord Balian Mataro, third Count of Emesh. Military base constructed by Balian’s ancestor Armand Mataro during the city’s beginnings. [Empire of Silence]

— Veil of Marinus: The region of space at the base of the Norma Arm of the galaxy where it joins the galactic core. Formerly a colonial expansion region dominated by the Sollan Empire and Norman Freeholders. It is also the site of most Cielcin incursions into human space. — Orion Arm: The first arm of the galaxy settled by humankind, site of Old Earth. North of Perseus, but south of Sagittarius and Centaurus. Comprises the core of the Sollan Empire, including Forum and Delos. [Demon in White]

— Arcturus: A red giant star near to Old Earth. With no planets, it is nevertheless the home of the Wong-Hopper consortium’s core space habitats and is their base of operation. [Demon in White]

— Ares: One of the oldest Imperial worlds in the Spur of Orion. Site of the Ares Command School, where the best Legion officers are trained. [Empire of Silence][Ashes of Man]

— Avalon: One of the original human colonies and site of heavy European colonization by generation ark. Birthplace of the Sollan Empire. [Empire of Silence][Howling Dark][Demon in White][Kingdoms of Death][Ashes of Man]

— Perseus Arm: The outermost of the four settled arms of the galaxy, comprising most of the outer-rim territories. Variously settled by the Sollan Empire, the Principalities of Jadd, the Durantine Republic, and various freeholder colonies and smaller states not annexed or allied with a greater power. —Cai Shen: An ethnically Mandari world in the Imperium famed for its Bashang Temple. It was ruled by House Min Chen until ISD 16130, when it was destroyed by the Cielcin. [Empire of Silence][Demon in White] —Car-Tannae: An Imperial colony on the outer rim of the galaxy in the Perseus Arm. Its gladiators are famous for fighting with nets and spears. [Demon in White] —Carcassone: Originally settled by Museum Catholic missions, now an Imperial core world. Carcassone is temperate and a paradise world for terranic life. Famed for its wines. [Kingdoms of Death] —Caritas: The home of the New Vatican and central world of the Museum Catholic Church, windy and twilit. [Demon in White] —Cidamus: An Imperial demesne in the Centaurine Provinces, ruled by the counts of House Volsenna, sacked by the Cielcin in the Battle of Cidamus in ISD 17064. [Ashes of Man] —Comum: A Centaurine demesne, site of the Battle of Comum, one of Lord Marlowe’s many battles. [Kingdoms of Death][Ashes of Man] —Coritani: A major Imperial base in the Norman Expanse. [Howling Dark] —Cressgard: A lost Imperial colony in the Veil of Marinus. Site of the first contact with the Cielcin in the Battle of Cressgard in ISD 15792.
