The Last City of Kings. The City at the End of Time. A decaying Gothic city on a planet with a dying red sun. The streets are patrolled by menacing, tread-driven colossi— servants of the Watchers. The city is built over ancient ruins and features crumbling statues and abandoned districts.

Castle Ward: A fortified, populated district in Llesu, rises tiered with black towers and a great dome, housing most inhabitants who fled the abandoned lower city. Visible from the Old Church.

The Old Church: A sacred yet profaned cathedral in Llesu, with bronze doors, stained glass, and monstrous statues. The seat of the Judicator and temple of the Quiet. Its nave is in ruin, filled with cables and a cradle pedestal that contains a mysterious egg.

The Wall: A vast barrier on Llesu’s horizon near the dying red sun. It is visible from the Old Church, marking the city’s edge. Used as a landmark by those in the city.

The Well of Nahaman: A subterranean chamber miles beneath Llesu. It is a black-stone well with antique machines. “Black energy” is used to reform the life “wave” of the dead. Protected from the Watchers’ vision by the Judicator.
