In Disquiet Gods, Vorgossos is revelead to have been located a few light years from Old Earth in the Spur of Orion. However, Kharn Sagara had "built massive engines into the planet's pole in imitation of the might star-drives of the Cielcin." When Bassander Lin and the Empire returned to the plant's original location, following the events of Howling Dark, they found only desolate space.
