Like a great, black tower she was, a tower projecting sideways across the void. How well I recalled her buttressed nacelles, her terraced ramparts carved with statues of goddesses and devils, her forecastle like a maw of cathedral spires.
— Hadrian Marlowe[1]
The Demiurge is an Extrasolarian Sojourner spanning hundreds of miles in length. It appears as if wrought of iron or chiseled from black stone, and the spires and terraces rising from it resemble a city in the backdrop of space. Upon and about the spires and terraces stand an unending number of statues of men, gods, and angels.[2]
