Wars end. War does not. And I am not much troubled what form our wars take. For over fifteen thousand years now your Empire has warred across the galaxy. [...] What is it to me who sits on your Solar Throne, or how long its sway?"

Kharn Sagara[1]

The King with a Thousand Eyes; The Undying; Commander of the Extrasolarian Sojourner ship Demiurge. King of Vorgossos. Presumably the same Kharn Sagara from the ancient legends, implying that he is nearly fifteen thousand years old.

Full series spoliers below, proceed with caution.

Appearance and Personality

*AppearanceWhen goesHadrian heremeets Kharn for the first time in Vorgossos, the Undying is ageless, with long black hair and hooded, black eyes that mark him as Mandari or Nipponese, yet pale skinned.

Hoses and sensors are wired direclty into his skin below his chest, presumably maintaining him alive or extending his lifetime. These wires snake above, around and below the massive chair the King of Vorgossos sits in. His left hand, as his chest, are made of pale metal interleaved in an imitation of skin.

At around 15,000 years old, Kharn has a unique relationship with time and galactic events and is generally more patient and equanimous than most, almost detached from immediate reality.
