The woman was a giant, a freak -doubtless the product of Norman genetic wizardry. She must have stood five cubits high, more than seven antique feet. She was taller than any palatine lore of the Empire, would have stood head and shoulders and still more above even the Emperor himself. Her skin was like polished copper, her hair like coils of bleached bone.
