In ages hence perhaps the Irchtani will dwell across the Empire. They may captain ships or council lords as scholiasts—and perhaps be lords themselves. Or perhaps they will vanish, like the Arch-Builders of Ozymandias—like ancient Ozymandias himself.
— Hadrian Marlowe[1]
Ozymandias is an old Imperial planet in the Sagittarius Arm. An arid world, it is known for being home to the extinct Arch-Builders and for the massive structures they built above the plains of the planet. Ozymandias is also the site of one of the ancient ruins left by the mysterious Quiet.[3][4]

Locations of Interest:
-
The Great Arches at Panormo: massive stone arches left behind by the extinct Arch-Builders. potential inspiration - "Palermo was founded by the Phoenicians in 734 BC/8th century BCE and was called Sys/Ziz (the flowers). The Greeks named it Panormos (all Ports), and the Romans retained that name. The Arabs called it Balarm (Bal’harm) which translates to Palermo. Palermo is said to be the most conquered city in the world. So many conquerors has resulted in a rich history of architecture, art and culture." (Source)
Merenhor: capital of Ozymandias. potential inspiration - Merenhor was an ancient Egyptian pharaoh, potentially from the 8th Dynasty during the First Intermediate Period. He is known for his name appearing on the Abydos King List. The poem "Ozymandias" by Percy Bysshe Shelley, which speaks of the crumbling statue of a powerful king and the fleeting nature of glory, is not directly related to Merenhor. The "Ozymandias" in Shelley's poem refers to Ramesses II. (Wikipedia)
