Rule of the Sollan Empire who commissioned the Atropos Expedition, tasking SIR DAMIEN ARADHYA and the starship ISV Atropos with the investigation and excavation of ancient Vaiartu ruins discovered on the remote Outer Perseus world of Nairi. This mission inadvertently led to the discovery of a Monumental (Watcher), whose buried remains drove the expedition to suicide and confirmed the first concrete evidence that the gods of the Cielcin were real.
